Hong Kong 20/08/2010 - 23/08/2010

Hot, Humid, Over Populated, Hagling Indians everywere, A box for a room, a bed less comforting than the floor and waking up to a strong smell of curry in the mornings.... I had arrived in Hong Kong. This city however did impress me and I have really enjoyed my stay here! We have had help on things to do and been rather organised. Things we have acheived in our four day trip

1)Been to the peak and took in the breath taking views!
2)Watched the symphony of lights on the waters edge
3)Walked along the avenue of stars, standing over stars such as Bruce Lee, Jet Lee and Jackie Chan.
4)Walked miles and miles around streets, shops and markets.
5)Experienced the night market
6)Taken the tram down from the Peak (Very Steep!)
7)Ate chinese style in a resturant were we did'nt no what to do and what we were eating! But it tasted good and im now an expert with the chopsticks!

As you can see we have been busy in the past few days. The streets are just like what you see in films and t.v programmes, with big colourful signs hung up EVERYWHERE! The culture is not a shock so much over here, but some things to make you look twice. Such as meat hanging in the street all day in the heat, dodgy shops/stalls serving strange dried food. Hong Kong is rather easy to get around with Trams, Trains and Buses. All signs are written in English aswell as Chinese, this is handy ofcourse. Keith and Me enjoyed the view from the waters edge at night of all the sky scrapers most. We sat here a couple of times, one to watch the famous Symphony of Lights and two sitting back with a couple of tins. We first decided to spend a week here in Hong Kong. However after wondering around and getting an idea, on the things we wanted to do. We decided four days would be plenty. We have now brought our flight to Bankok forward six days. Tomorrow afternoon we fly into Thailand and im getting very excited!
